덧글, 댓글, 코멘트 어떤 걸 써야할까

고민이다.

 

그냥 덧글이라고 쓰려고 했더니만, 네이버 지식인에선 누군가가 말하길 덧글 보다는 댓글이 맞다고 한다. 덧글은 글이나 편지 등에 쓰는 영어 p.s.의 번역이란다. 사전을 찾아보니 덧글을 더 많이 사용하는지 댓글에는 등호(=)가 붙은 다음 덧글이라고 적혀 있었다(덧글=댓글).

개인적으론 코멘트란 외래어왜래어를 그동안 많이 썼다. 가장 명료한 단어 같기도 하지만, 외래어왜래어인 점이 걸리고, 이미 덧글이나 댓글이란 말이 널리 통용된다는 점이 걸린다.

비슷한 말로 리플이라는 말도 있었다. 이건 특정 회사의 게시판에 적합한 기능인지라 적합한 말이 아니라 생각하지만 티비 오락 프로그램에서 워낙 이 말을 많이 써와서 리플이라는 말도 함부로 버리기가 뭐하다.

위키백과에 가보면 답글이라는 단어도 있었다.

 

도대체 어떻게 써야하는지 모르겠다. 아직까진 이런 공식 하나가 성립하고 있다는게 사실인 것 같다.

덧글 = 댓글 = 답글 = 리플 = 코멘트

 

쉽게 쓰지만 모호하게 쓰이는 단어인 만큼 체계적채계적으로 정리할 필요가 있지 않을까 싶다(이미 정리한게 있나?). 혹시 좋은 아이디어 있으신 분이라면 덧글(댓글,코멘트,리플,답글) 남겨주시길 바란다.
